I hope everyone had a great week and here we are again for 20/20 Five. 🙂

20/20 Hines Sight

What is 20/20 Five? It’s a blog hop. You get to ask me questions, I answer them, and you join in on the fun by answering them too. Everyone is welcome! 20/20 Five is a chance for us to get to know each other as bloggers and build a fun blogging community. Share as much or as little as you want. If you’d like to ask a question click here or go to @2020hines_sight on Twitter and use #20/20Five.

To answer the questions simply copy and paste them into your blog and then click the Inlinz frog below the questions to link up. Don’t forget to hop over to your fellow bloggers and read their answers.

Grab the 20/20 Five button and put it in your post.  Now on to the questions.

  1. It’s Olympics time. If you were an Olympian what would be your event?
  2. If you could give one piece of advice to your 16 year old self, what would it be?
  3. What was the last book you read? Would you recommend it? Why or Why not?
  4. What makes you happy?
  5. You get to spend the day with your idol. Who is it? and what would you do?

  1. It’s Olympics time. If you were an Olympian what would be your event?
I’m a runner, a sprinter to be exact, but I love skiing — so, I guess alpine skiing for me.
  2. If you could give one piece of advice to your 16 year old self, what would it be?
Just do you. There’s a quote I tell young people I mentor: “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
  3. What was the last book you read? Would you recommend it? Why or Why not?
The last book I read was Where’d You Go Bernadette byMaria Semple. It’s clever, a bit sarcastic (which I like) but there wasn’t a single character I could really get behind. I didn’t dislike it but it was just alright. If you’ve got some time to kill, read it and get it from the library.
  4. What makes you happy?
I could go with any day I wake up is a happy day, which is true. But a lazy Saturday, woo now that’s the ticket. Lie around all day in your pajamas, read a book, watch some television and nap. Now that’s a happy day for me.
  5. You get to spend the day with your idol. Who is it? and what would you do?
Outside of my parents, I don’t idolize anyone. If I could spend the day with someone I admire it would have to be Maya Angelou or Nikki Giovanni. I love their writing and I would want to spend time talking about the craft, how to get better, how they maintained longevity in field, and having them critique my writing.

Speak your peace . . .
